In a Nutshell

We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord

They will know we are Christians by our love

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just like I have loved you; that you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
~ Jesus Christ, John 13:34-35 WEB

Peter Scholtes wrote a song and these words were in it. "We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord and we pray that our unity will one day be restored, and we'll guard each man's dignity and save each man's pride. We will work with each other, we will work side by side, and they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love." Ecclesia is all about unity in the body of Christ Jesus, no single person is above another, and no race, no colour is superior as we read in Acts 10:34-35. Everyone is welcome in the church of Christ Jesus, as it is His church and His body, His rules and expectations is for every person who calls themselves a Christian, no exceptions. Our aim is to share as much of God to all who are willing to listen and learn. We take hands with as many other churches as possible with many different projects and other ministry related events. Ecclesia aim to practice what we preach to the best of our human capability, the rest we leave in the good hands of our God and Redeemer, we should respect one another and edify everyone in the body of Christ by lifting each other up through scripture, morally or intellectually. It is most importantly that we should love one another unconditionally, without any expectations.

"Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words.”
~ St. Francis of Assisi

Ecclesia believes that the time has come for Christians to stop playing church and to get down to the core purpose of Christianity as it was intended to be. By this statement we mean that people should be aware and care about those people around them and not just waiting to receive from others. Jesus Himself states in Matthew 20:28 WEB that He come to serve, He lead by example. It should not be so hard for Christians to let go of their lives and lay it down for their neighbours, their brothers and sisters and friends. We have received life through Jesus and God's Grace for us, and if we receive Jesus we receive Him who send Jesus, and whoever loses his life for the sake of Jesus will find it again.

“This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends.
~ Jesus Christ, John 15:12-13 WEB

We should all live a life of love, how can we show an unbelieving world that we are united in Christ if we cannot even show respect to our fellow Christians, when they are in need we want a sign, when we are supposed to trust each other we want to see the credentials first. A famous Italian poet Dante Alighieri once wrote this, “He who sees a need and waits to be asked for help is as unkind as if he had refused it.” How many people have you blessed knowing they will never be able to repay you, how many beggars have you turned away or refused to help because you would rather judge them? How many Christians have you shun because you think your position make you better than them. If we had to receive what our sins deserve, we will all be in hell soon. Stop conforming to this worldly standards, we are not of this world (Romans 12:2 WEB, John 17:16 WEB).

Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
